For many years, the area along both sides of scenic A1A known as the beaches of South Ponte Vedra or simply Vilano, has been the destination for beach seeking travelers heading to Northeast Florida. Though there are still plenty of oceanfront vacation rentals available, the area has more and more become home to full time residents, many whom commute to Jacksonville and St. Augustine for work. Taking advantage of the expansive ocean and marsh views, the homes range from charming little beach cottages to multistory mansions, in and out of gated communities. Those who prefer a condominium can find that too – most on the marsh/Guana side with the exception of a few oceanfront units such as those in The Serenata Beach Club. Most condominiums on the West side of A1A do have private, elevated walkways so that their residents can put their toes in the sand in a matter of minutes without having to worry about passing cars. Whether you call this area home for a few months out of the year, or for 365 days a year, we can ensure you that the views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Guana Reserve will never get old!
South Ponte Vedra/Vilano Beach Amenities:
The Vilano Beach Town Center is fairly new and offers grocery and retail shopping as well as fine and casual dining options. You will find access to the Intracoastal for your watercraft via several boat ramps in the area; one can also take advantage of the public access areas that welcome a range of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, fishing and kayaking to be completed.
For those that enjoy a beach resort atmosphere, The Serenata Beach Club is a members only club situated on the high breezy dunes overlooking the historic coquina sand beaches. The club has a fitness center, a family and an adults only pool, as well as fine and casual dining options. Those that purchase a unit in Serenata Beach do not have to belong to the club, though are not able to use the facilities (other than a pool specifically for the Villas) if not a member.
