St. Augustine

Just south of Ponte Vedra/Vilano Beach is the historic city of St. Augustine. Founded in September 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles of Spain, St. Augustine is the longest continually inhabited European-founded city in the United States – more commonly called the “Nation’s Oldest City.” St. Augustine is a place for history buffs and everyone else. For those looking to call this city home, buyers can choose to be either in North St. Augustine, historic downtown St. Augustine or St. Augustine Beach. Either area offers beautiful scenery and the option of older construction homes or fully renovated homes with a modern twist.
